How do you tell your friend
When he does wrong?
And in which way you pretend
That you are that strong?
What justifies right against the long
Enduring essence of being alone?
I wonder as I see the world as it is.
Nothing is hidden and none are amiss.
I venture for heights and hit all the lows.
This life is nothing
Through me it flows.
Righteous, courageous, wishful and just!
All those that form crowds
And cherish lust
All gathered to bathe in the light of the fame
Stolen from others who suffer your pain.
Smiling when loss is not yours,
Cherishing sorrow of those
Who bleed for your goals
And hang for mistakes on the poles.
How do you tell whom you hate
That they are your friends by fate
That every day you pretend
And follow every trend
To be strong for as long as it takes
For other’s mistakes
So others could smile
So you could rest in exile.
How do you tell your friend
When he does wrong?
You don’t and you carry on.
