Blind to this world
A mighty tree stands
Tall and bold
It’s canopy bends
Under the weight of souls
Each leaf screams and pleas
Each branch another holds
Above the river on its knees
It hugs the world, and us it holds
A brazen blue of endless sky
A barren sun, look down
They see a giant amongst the stars
Forever to this hell it’s bound
Enduring storm of pain, alone
A tree that’s more akin to stone
A stranger keeping us alive
Inside its heart, with all its might
Deaf to the screams
Blind to this world
A mighty tree stands
Tall and bold.
