The circles, blocks and squares
The stars, the sound waves and stares
In emptiness, into the void
Blank, shattered and devoid
Of structure, matter, space
My fingers yours will interlace
Your breath will gently mix with mine
Our energies will thrum as one
While we are lost in circles,
Blocked by squares
Our roads slowly forking
Descending each into our own despair
Tears shaped like stars
On sound waves of cries
This universe still grinds and spars
Against our hearts, against our lives
The squiggles, awkward lines and dots
A letter of confusion, torn and lost
The void, hungry, angry bright
Our souls stay interlocked against its might
Your eyes cling to the shapes of hope
As I catch lightning, just as I forgot
The shape and mystery of your embrace
The color and the brightness of…
Someone’s face…
