Sun

 Light, sizzle, burn

For billions of years, on and on

In darkness, somber and alone

The symbol of existence, burn!

A day will come when you are gone

A day when darkness rules them all

A night that stretches, far and bold

Across the husk of life, so dead and cold

And still you’ll spit, and still you’ll burn

Albeit for no one to appreciate, all gone

Embrace that loneliness for eons, you can’t run

We all are staring through your likeness, into the barrel of a loaded gun

Keep burning, sun!
