Time

Time is not mine

It’s so benign

Invisible and so entwined

With purpose that I lost

Under the glare of the universe

In the embrace of ghosts

A walking smile full of gloss

And laughter filled with dross

I cringe, I balk, and turn to worse

Time is not mine

It’s by design

That I am not fine

As river of it rushes by

And carries me along to die

So precious, so elusive - time!
