Trapped

 I feel the heart sing

I see the trap spring

I touch the broken strings

Of my soul’s forgotten violin

You hear the pain and loss

Your phrases are like coin toss

Your focus aimed within

As at your feet all kneel

We leave destruction in our wake

We carve a path full of mistakes

Our hearts and souls, just useless fakes

And on and on, until no light remains

Until the heart lies still

Until the trap is rust and nil

Until I fix the bloody strings

And hold the mighty violin

And let the sun burn lies and skin

Its flame brings light through silent screams!

I let myself ignite, and there I burn within!

So others inch to daylight, always, still!
